Clippers center Ivica Zubac paid tribute to his cousin Zoran Planinic for motivation.
Planinich was selected in the 2003 draft at number 22 and spent 3 seasons in the NBA.
“My motivation to develop in basketball was largely the moment that my cousin got into the NBA in 2003.
I saw that he got to this level, starting just like I did, from the same place where I grew up. I thought I could do that, too. This was my biggest motivation. To see how he was selected in the draft, how he played in the NBA, ” Horvat said.
Michael Jordan: “Kerr earned my respect after that fight between us»
Legendary bulls player Michael Jordan agreed with ex-teammate Steve Kerr that the fight between them at training only improved their relationship in the end.
Jordan got angry because coach Phil Jackson called him several fouls in a row on Kerr.
After Jordan’s rough foul (“Wow, that’s really a damn foul!») Kerr pushed the assailant in the chest, and the assailant hit him in the eye. Jackson kicked the team leader out of practice.
“I was in the shower afterwards and I thought I just beat the smallest guy on the damn court. I didn’t like that fact. I got in the car and called our training room and asked for Steve Kerr’s number. I called him and apologized. “I don’t have anything against you, mate.” I made it clear that I was worried.
Kerr earned my respect after that fight. He didn’t back down, didn’t want to be a pawn in this whole story,” Jordan said.
Michael Jordan: “One day, George Karl didn’t say Hello to me in a restaurant. This was the motivation in the final-96»
Famous bulls player Michael Jordan spoke about the extra motivation during the 1996 final series against Seattle.
Supersonics head coach George Karl ignored him and journalist Ahmad Rashad at the restaurant.
“One day, George Karl didn’t say Hello in a restaurant. He just walked by. I looked at Ahmad and said: “Really? Is that how you want it to be?”
Okay, good. That’s all I needed. I took it personally, ” Jordan said.
In the final 96, Chicago won 4-2 against Seattle.
