1998 Michael Jordan Shot
Michael Jordan dropped one of the most famous shots in NBA history during the 1998 final championship game. In game 6 there were only a few seconds remaining. Jordan managed to penetrate the Utah Jazz defences and get the ball into the net. This moment was filled with tension and surprise, especially from Utah’s players.
Lebron James’ Move Announcement
Lebron James stirred up controversy when he used an hour long TV special to announce his move from Cleveland to Miami. This was followed by an ill judged celebration ceremony alongside Miami’s other star players Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade. James received criticism on social media due to the brazen way he chose to make his announcement. The Miami Heat team would end up losing the 2011 NBA Finals.
2004 Brawl
During a game between the Detroit Pistons and Indiana Pacers a mass brawl ended up taking place. This began when a crowd member threw a beer cup at Ron Artest. When Artest jumped into the spectator area, looking for the culprit he kick-started a shocking melee. This event stands out as the most shocking in all of NBA history. Legal charges were made against the worst offenders in the fight.
LA Lakers 2000 – 2002 Wins
By 2000 Phil Jackson had already established himself as a legendary coach. This was thanks to his work with the Chicago Bulls during the 1990s. When Jackson moved to the Lakers he shaped them into a team that ended up winning 3 consecutive championships. Jackson came up with a formidable line-up which included star players such as Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal.
